Arrancan mantenimiento en la carretera Omealca–Matatenatito

El alcalde Dionisio Herrera supervisó la zona

Omealca, Ver.— El alcalde de Omealca, Dionisio Herrera Torres, dio el banderazo de inicio a los trabajos de mantenimiento y rehabilitación de la carretera Omealca–Matatenatito, una de las vialidades más transitadas del municipio y que presentaba un notable deterioro.

El presidente municipal informó que esta obra corresponde a la primera etapa de mejoramiento de caminos, comenzando desde la cabecera municipal hasta la comunidad de Matatenatito.

Posteriormente, se contempla continuar con la rehabilitación del tramo Matatenatito–Loma Mulato, de acuerdo con las condiciones del camino y el presupuesto disponible.

Los trabajos incluyen limpieza y desazolve de cunetas obstruidas por lodo, tierra y residuos vegetales, así como bacheo y rehabilitación de tramos en mal estado, con el objetivo de mejorar la seguridad vial y facilitar el tránsito de automovilistas, motociclistas y transporte local.

Estimó que las labores tengan una duración aproximada de 15 días, aunque el avance dependerá de las condiciones climatológicas.

Ante ello, exhortó a los conductores a circular con precaución, ya que habrá maquinaria pesada y personal trabajando de manera constante en la zona.

Recordó que esta carretera es una vía clave de comunicación entre comunidades, por lo que su rehabilitación representa una mejora directa en la movilidad y el desarrollo de la región.

Precio del café cereza alcanza los 12 pesos por kilo

Altas Montañas, Ver.- El precio del café cereza se vende este miércoles 21 de octubre entre 8 y 12 pesos por kilogramo en la región de las Altas Montañas, de acuerdo con referencias de compra proporcionadas por productores.

Los precios varían según el punto de recepción.

En Totutla se reporta el pago más alto, con 12 pesos por kilo, mientras que en Monte Blanco, municipio de Fortín, y Chocamán se ofrece a 8 pesos.

En otros puntos de la región, las referencias son de 11 pesos por kilogramo en Tenampa y 11.60 pesos en la colonia Manuel González.

Los precios reportados son los siguientes:

  • Monte Blanco, Fortín: 8 pesos por kilogramo.
  • Chocamán: 8 pesos.
  • Tenampa: 11 pesos.
  • Colonia Manuel González: 11.60 pesos.
  • Totutla: 12 pesos.

En el mercado internacional, el contrato de referencia del café cotizaba este miércoles en 316.65 dólares por quintal, según el dato compartido por productores.

La diferencia entre la cotización internacional y los precios pagados por el café cereza responde a que se trata de productos distintos dentro de la cadena comercial: el precio internacional corresponde al café comercializado en el mercado de referencia, mientras que el cereza es el fruto recién cosechado que los productores entregan a los compradores.

Los precios pueden variar entre centros de compra y a lo largo de la temporada, por lo que las cifras corresponden a referencias reportadas para este miércoles y no representan una tarifa uniforme para toda la región.

Barrancadas revuelven el agua y dejan sin servicio a familias de Paso del Macho

Paso del Macho, Ver.- Cientos de familias de Paso del Macho se quedarán temporalmente sin agua potable debido a la turbiedad registrada en el afluente que abastece al municipio, situación que obligó a suspender el funcionamiento de las bombas de la Oficina Operadora del Agua.

Las recientes barrancadas, que arrastran lodo, tierra y otros sedimentos hacia los cauces, estarían relacionadas con las condiciones del agua que se observa revuelta y de color café, como muestra una imagen del afluente.

Ante esta situación, el Ayuntamiento informó que los equipos de bombeo permanecerían fuera de operación durante este miércoles, como medida preventiva para evitar daños en la infraestructura.

La suspensión afecta a los usuarios que dependen del sistema de abastecimiento, aunque las autoridades no precisaron cuántas colonias se quedarán sin servicio ni el número exacto de familias afectadas.

De acuerdo con el aviso oficial, la medida busca proteger los equipos mientras el agua mantiene condiciones de turbiedad que impiden operar el sistema con normalidad.

El problema representa una afectación para las familias que utilizan el servicio en sus viviendas y para las actividades cotidianas que requieren el suministro de agua potable.

Hasta el momento, el Ayuntamiento no ha informado cuánto tiempo durará la suspensión ni en qué momento se reanudará el bombeo. La operación dependerá de que las condiciones del agua permitan poner nuevamente en funcionamiento los equipos.

Las autoridades pidieron a la población mantenerse atenta a los avisos oficiales sobre la reanudación del servicio.

La causa exacta de la turbiedad y su relación directa con las barrancadas no ha sido detallada técnicamente por la Oficina Operadora del Agua.

CDMX.— México prevé exportar entre 700 mil y 800 mil toneladas de azúcar a Estados Unidos durante la zafra 2026-2027.

El presidente de la Unión Nacional de Cañeros de la CNPR, Carlos Blackaller, señaló que el volumen sería cuatro veces mayor al del ciclo anterior.

La organización estima una producción nacional de 5.3 millones de toneladas de azúcar para la próxima zafra.

Menos azúcar al mercado mundial

Las exportaciones a Estados Unidos podrían reducir el volumen destinado al mercado mundial a 400 mil toneladas o menos, según las proyecciones de la organización.

Las cifras aún son preliminares y dependerán de la producción nacional y de las necesidades de abasto del mercado estadounidense.

Ingenios deberán cumplir exportaciones

Blackaller señaló que los ingenios deberán cumplir sus compromisos de exportación para evitar excedentes en el mercado nacional y presiones sobre los precios.

El sector también busca diversificar los usos de la caña mediante alternativas como el bioetanol y los combustibles sostenibles para la aviación.
