Ixtaczoquitlán, Ver. – Ante la represión del alcalde Augusto Nahúm Álvarez Pellico, pobladores, quienes exigen agua potable, incendiaron dos vehículos y causaron severos destrozos en el Palacio Municipal.
El motivo de la protesta fue exigir al alcalde Augusto Nahúm Álvarez Pellico una solución inmediata al problema de desabastecimiento de agua que ha afectado al municipio por semanas.
Sin embargo, lejos de atender las demandas de los ciudadanos, el alcalde optó por intimidarlos utilizando la fuerza pública al querer desalojarlos de la manifestación que realizaban desde hace unos días.
Esta respuesta solo exacerbó la ira de los manifestantes, quienes se sintieron aún más ignorados y reprimidos.
Desde el interior del Palacio, la Policía lanzó piedras y gas lacrimógeno a los protestantes.
El uso de la fuerza pública por parte del alcalde, en lugar de buscar un diálogo y una solución pacífica, reveló una grave falta de empatía y una ineficaz gestión de la crisis.
La incapacidad de proporcionar un recurso básico como el agua y la posterior represión de la protesta no solo demuestran una incompetencia administrativa, sino también un profundo desprecio por las necesidades de la comunidad.

Omealca, Ver.– Con el objetivo de mejorar las condiciones de vivienda de familias de distintas comunidades, el Ayuntamiento de Omealca realizó la entrega de atados de lámina y vigas como parte de un programa de apoyo social impulsado por la administración municipal.
La entrega fue coordinada a través de la Dirección de Desarrollo Social y forma parte de las acciones enfocadas en fortalecer el patrimonio de las familias que más lo necesitan.
Durante la jornada, el alcalde Dionicio Herrera Torres destacó que contar con un techo seguro representa una de las bases para la tranquilidad y el bienestar de las familias, por lo que su administración mantiene programas dirigidos a mejorar las condiciones de los hogares en el municipio.
“El objetivo es apoyar directamente a la población con materiales de calidad que les permitan reforzar o mejorar sus viviendas, sobre todo para proteger a sus familias de las inclemencias del tiempo”, expresó el edil.
Señaló que, además de contribuir a dignificar los espacios habitacionales, este tipo de apoyos también busca impulsar la economía familiar, ya que muchas familias no cuentan con los recursos suficientes para adquirir materiales de construcción.
Las autoridades municipales indicaron que los beneficiarios pertenecen a diversas comunidades del municipio, donde aún existen necesidades en materia de mejoramiento de vivienda.
Con la entrega de estos materiales, el Ayuntamiento busca que más familias puedan contar con techos más seguros y hogares en mejores condiciones, especialmente durante temporadas de lluvia o fuertes vientos.
El alcalde Dionicio Herrera Torres reiteró que su gobierno continuará impulsando acciones sociales que impacten directamente en la calidad de vida de la población, priorizando programas que atiendan las necesidades básicas de las familias de Omealca.

Amatlán de los Reyes, Ver.– En lo que va del año, el municipio de Amatlán de los Reyes ha registrado alrededor de 45 reportes de incendios de pastizales, la mayoría derivados de quemas agrícolas realizadas durante la temporada de zafra, informó el director de Protección Civil Municipal, Luis Arturo Herrera Salinas.
El funcionario explicó que muchos de estos incidentes ocurren debido a que los productores realizan quemas sin notificar previamente a las autoridades y sin tomar medidas preventivas, como la elaboración de guardarrayas.
“Normalmente las personas no tienen la cultura de avisar cuando realizan quemas agrícolas. En ocasiones lo hacen en días con surada o con viento, lo que provoca que el fuego se salga de control. Además, aunque aún estamos en temporada invernal, ya se registran temperaturas más altas que favorecen estos incendios”, señaló.
Indicó que las zonas donde se ha detectado mayor incidencia de incendios son áreas cercanas a la cabecera municipal y comunidades donde se concentra la cosecha y quema de caña, como el área de Paraje.
Herrera Salinas recordó que, de acuerdo con la Ley 856 de Protección Civil del Estado de Veracruz, quienes realicen quemas agrícolas deben informar previamente a Protección Civil o a los cuerpos de bomberos, además de tomar las medidas necesarias para evitar que el fuego se propague.
Asimismo, alertó sobre la quema de basura en viviendas, una práctica que continúa realizándose en algunas comunidades y que genera afectaciones a los vecinos.
“Por las noches, debido a la densidad del aire, el humo no se eleva y comienza a desplazarse entre calles y casas, afectando a muchas familias e incluso puede avanzar varios kilómetros”, explicó.
Ante el incremento de estos incidentes, el personal de Protección Civil Municipal participará en una capacitación sobre combate de incendios forestales, impartida por la Secretaría del Medio Ambiente.
La capacitación se llevará a cabo el 9 de marzo en el municipio de Coetzala, donde los elementos recibirán adiestramiento sobre técnicas de control y atención de emergencias relacionadas con incendios forestales.
Finalmente, el director de Protección Civil reiteró el llamado a la población para evitar quemas sin control y reportar cualquier incendio de manera inmediata, a fin de prevenir riesgos mayores en esta temporada.
Omealca, Ver.— El Ayuntamiento de Omealca, en coordinación con la Dirección de Salud municipal, mantiene en marcha la campaña de prevención contra el dengue mediante brigadas que recorren distintas colonias para distribuir abate y orientar a la población sobre las medidas necesarias para evitar la proliferación del mosquito transmisor.
Durante esta jornada, el personal de salud y brigadistas municipales visitaron viviendas de la colonia Centro y de la colonia Ejidal, donde realizaron la entrega del larvicida conocido como abate, el cual se utiliza en depósitos de agua para eliminar las larvas del mosquito Aedes aegypti, responsable de transmitir enfermedades como dengue, zika y chikungunya.
Las brigadas también brindaron recomendaciones a las familias para reforzar la prevención desde los hogares, como mantener limpios los patios, eliminar recipientes que acumulen agua y tapar correctamente los depósitos donde se almacena el líquido.
Autoridades municipales señalaron que este tipo de acciones forman parte de una estrategia permanente de salud pública que busca reducir los riesgos de contagio, principalmente durante las temporadas en que se incrementa la presencia del mosquito.
Asimismo, destacaron la importancia de la participación ciudadana, ya que la eliminación de criaderos dentro de las viviendas es fundamental para evitar la reproducción del insecto y disminuir la posibilidad de brotes de dengue en el municipio.
De acuerdo con lo informado, estas jornadas de prevención no se limitarán únicamente a estas colonias, sino que se extenderán gradualmente a todas las localidades que integran el municipio de Omealca.
Por ello, se pidió a la población mantenerse atenta a los avisos que se difundan a través de los canales oficiales del Ayuntamiento, donde se dará a conocer el calendario de visitas de las brigadas en cada comunidad.
Con estas acciones, el gobierno municipal reiteró su compromiso de seguir impulsando medidas de prevención que contribuyan a proteger la salud de las familias omealquenses y evitar la propagación de enfermedades transmitidas por vector.
