Lluvias provocan cierre de caminos y daños menores en Calcahualco

Calcahualco, Ver. – Las lluvias intensas de las últimas horas provocaron afectaciones en caminos rurales y el cierre temporal de carreteras que conectan a diversas comunidades del municipio de Calcahualco, en la zona montañosa central de Veracruz.
Autoridades locales informaron que la vía principal que comunica con las localidades de Tecuanapa y Atotonilco permanece cerrada al tránsito vehicular debido a la caída de árboles, ramas y material pétreo, lo que ha impedido el paso de automovilistas y personal docente que se dirigía a sus centros de trabajo.
Cuadrillas de la Dirección Municipal de Protección Civil realizan labores de limpieza y remoción de escombros con apoyo de maquinaria, con el objetivo de restablecer la circulación lo antes posible. Hasta el momento no se reportan personas lesionadas ni viviendas afectadas, aunque se mantiene un monitoreo permanente en las zonas de riesgo por deslaves.
Las autoridades municipales pidieron a la población evitar transitar por caminos serranos hasta que mejoren las condiciones del clima, ya que continúan las lluvias intermitentes que podrían generar nuevos derrumbes.
La región de Calcahualco se mantiene bajo vigilancia por parte de Protección Civil estatal, ante el pronóstico de precipitaciones continuas durante los próximos días.
Se exhorta a los habitantes a mantenerse atentos a los avisos oficiales y reportar cualquier emergencia al 911.

Atoyac, Ver.- El presidente municipal de Atoyac, Juan Carlos Rojas Castro, solicitó a la gobernadora Rocío Nahle García la rehabilitación de la carretera estatal Atoyac-Paso del Macho, principalmente en el tramo comprendido entre Potrero Nuevo y La Concha.
El alcalde señaló que la petición fue planteada directamente ante el Gobierno del Estado, debido al deterioro que presenta esta vía y a la importancia que tiene para la comunicación entre las comunidades de la zona.
Como parte del seguimiento a la gestión, personal del Departamento de Obras Públicas del Estado acudió recientemente al municipio para realizar mediciones y revisar las condiciones del tramo carretero.
Rojas Castro explicó que estos trabajos forman parte de la continuidad de un proyecto de rehabilitación que se busca concretar con el respaldo de la administración estatal.
La carretera es utilizada diariamente por habitantes de distintas localidades para trasladarse hacia Potrero Nuevo, La Concha y otros puntos de la región, por lo que su rehabilitación permitiría mejorar las condiciones de circulación.
El presidente municipal indicó que, además de este tramo, durante las gestiones ante el Gobierno del Estado expuso la necesidad de atender caminos que comunican con comunidades ubicadas en la zona serrana de Atoyac.
Precisó que el objetivo es avanzar en proyectos de infraestructura carretera que permitan mejorar los accesos y facilitar el traslado de habitantes, productores y mercancías.
El edil destacó que mantendrá las gestiones ante la gobernadora Rocío Nahle García y las dependencias estatales correspondientes para dar seguimiento a los proyectos planteados y conocer los avances para su posible ejecución.
Mientras tanto, personal estatal ya realizó los trabajos de campo necesarios para contar con información sobre las condiciones actuales del tramo Potrero Nuevo-La Concha, como parte del proceso previo para determinar las acciones de rehabilitación.

Fortín, Ver.— Un total de 210 viviendas de la congregación Monte Salas fueron fumigadas durante el fin de semana como parte de las acciones para reducir la presencia del mosquito transmisor del dengue, zika y chikungunya.
El personal del área de Vectores realizó recorridos casa por casa para aplicar el producto en el interior de los domicilios, luego de las lluvias registradas en la zona, que favorecen la reproducción del mosquito.
Las labores forman parte de las acciones de control que se mantienen en distintos puntos de Fortín, incluidos sitios donde puede concentrarse agua y convertirse en criaderos, como el panteón municipal.
Este lunes, los trabajos continuaron en la colonia San José, donde fueron atendidas 44 viviendas. El personal ingresó a los domicilios con autorización de las familias para realizar la aplicación.
Las jornadas de fumigación continuarán en otras colonias, fraccionamientos y comunidades del municipio, de acuerdo con las zonas consideradas de mayor riesgo para la reproducción del mosquito.

Abandona sus estudios 40% de alumnos del Tecnológico de Zongolica

Zongolica, Ver.— El Instituto Tecnológico Superior de Zongolica (ITSZ) implementa estrategias para reducir la deserción escolar, luego de que en periodos anteriores el abandono de estudios alcanzara alrededor del 40 por ciento, informó su directora general, Lidia Irma Mezhua Campos.
La directora explicó que entre las principales causas por las que los jóvenes dejan temporalmente sus estudios se encuentran la necesidad de incorporarse al trabajo, principalmente en actividades del campo y la zona cañera, además de dificultades económicas para cubrir gastos como transporte.
Ante esta situación, el Tecnológico puso en marcha distintas estrategias para recuperar a los estudiantes que interrumpieron sus carreras.
Entre ellas se encuentra el programa “Regresa a tu Tec”, mediante el cual se busca reincorporar a jóvenes que dejaron temporalmente sus estudios.
Durante el periodo de verano también se implementaron cursos intensivos para alumnos que tenían materias pendientes.
Mezhua Campos informó que fueron identificados alrededor de 360 estudiantes que habían dejado el Tecnológico, de los cuales aproximadamente 340 participaron en estos cursos para regularizar su situación académica.
A estas acciones se suma el otorgamiento de becas. Actualmente, alrededor del 80 por ciento de los estudiantes cuenta con algún apoyo de este tipo, aunque la directora reconoció que en algunos casos los recursos no son suficientes para cubrir los gastos que implica acudir diariamente a clases.
Otro factor que influye en la movilidad de los estudiantes es que algunos abandonan temporalmente el ITSZ para incorporarse a otros trabajos o instituciones educativas, aunque posteriormente buscan regresar.
Por ello, la institución trabaja en estrategias de acompañamiento académico y atención temprana para detectar a los jóvenes que podrían estar en riesgo de abandonar sus estudios.
“Lo que queremos es justamente retener a nuestros alumnos”, señaló la directora, quien destacó que la meta no es únicamente lograr que los estudiantes concluyan sus carreras, sino que también completen el proceso de titulación.
En materia de infraestructura, Mezhua Campos informó que la obra de la unidad académica ubicada en Cuichapa registra actualmente un avance aproximado del 70 por ciento.
La directora recordó que los trabajos estaban contemplados inicialmente para concluir entre mayo y junio; sin embargo, el calendario se ha extendido y actualmente existe confianza en que la obra pueda quedar terminada hacia diciembre.
La conclusión de estas instalaciones permitirá al Tecnológico contar con mayor capacidad para atender a los estudiantes y avanzar en el objetivo de ampliar la oferta de espacios educativos en la región.
Actualmente, el Tecnológico Superior de Zongolica tiene una matrícula de entre 4 mil 100 y 4 mil 200 estudiantes en sus siete unidades académicas y seis carreras. Para el nuevo ciclo se han registrado mil 153 alumnos de primer semestre, aunque la institución tiene como meta llegar a mil 500.
El crecimiento de la matrícula también representa un reto en materia de infraestructura, ya que la falta de aulas ha obligado a ofrecer alternativas como el TecNM Virtual y la modalidad mixta sabatina para atender la demanda.
Mientras se busca ampliar los espacios educativos, la dirección del ITSZ mantiene como una de sus prioridades reducir el abandono escolar y lograr que un mayor número de jóvenes permanezca en las aulas hasta concluir y titularse.
