Lluvias provocan cierre de caminos y daños menores en Calcahualco

Calcahualco, Ver. – Las lluvias intensas de las últimas horas provocaron afectaciones en caminos rurales y el cierre temporal de carreteras que conectan a diversas comunidades del municipio de Calcahualco, en la zona montañosa central de Veracruz.
Autoridades locales informaron que la vía principal que comunica con las localidades de Tecuanapa y Atotonilco permanece cerrada al tránsito vehicular debido a la caída de árboles, ramas y material pétreo, lo que ha impedido el paso de automovilistas y personal docente que se dirigía a sus centros de trabajo.
Cuadrillas de la Dirección Municipal de Protección Civil realizan labores de limpieza y remoción de escombros con apoyo de maquinaria, con el objetivo de restablecer la circulación lo antes posible. Hasta el momento no se reportan personas lesionadas ni viviendas afectadas, aunque se mantiene un monitoreo permanente en las zonas de riesgo por deslaves.
Las autoridades municipales pidieron a la población evitar transitar por caminos serranos hasta que mejoren las condiciones del clima, ya que continúan las lluvias intermitentes que podrían generar nuevos derrumbes.
La región de Calcahualco se mantiene bajo vigilancia por parte de Protección Civil estatal, ante el pronóstico de precipitaciones continuas durante los próximos días.
Se exhorta a los habitantes a mantenerse atentos a los avisos oficiales y reportar cualquier emergencia al 911.

Atoyac, Ver.- La Alcoholera Zapopan S.A. de C.V. fue obligada a suspender sus actividades por tiempo indefinido luego de un nuevo derrame de vinaza ocurrido el pasado 11 de julio, hecho que reavivó las denuncias de productores agrícolas y organizaciones ambientales por la contaminación de canales de riego y cuerpos de agua en la zona centro de Veracruz.
La medida fue acordada durante una reunión convocada por el presidente municipal de Atoyac, Juan Carlos Rojas, en la que participaron representantes de la Secretaría de Medio Ambiente (SEDEMA), integrantes del Cabildo, la Unidad de Riego Alfredo V. Bonfil, ambientalistas y directivos de la empresa.
De acuerdo con la organización Defensores Ambientales Atoyac, entre los acuerdos establecidos se encuentra un recorrido por las áreas afectadas, la toma de muestras de agua para determinar el nivel de contaminación y la suspensión de la operación de la alcoholera mientras se realizan las investigaciones correspondientes y se definen las acciones de saneamiento.
La SEDEMA informó que mantiene seguimiento al caso y a los acuerdos alcanzados entre autoridades, habitantes y representantes de la empresa.
El nuevo episodio volvió a colocar en el centro del debate ambiental a la industria alcoholera de Atoyac, donde desde hace varios años productores han señalado afectaciones por presuntas descargas de vinaza, un residuo líquido generado durante la producción de alcohol que puede contener una alta carga orgánica y provocar afectaciones a ecosistemas acuáticos si no recibe un tratamiento adecuado.
Las inconformidades no son recientes. Desde 2023, agricultores denunciaron afectaciones en el río Atoyac y en el sistema de canales de riego Alfredo V. Bonfil, señalando presuntas descargas contaminantes relacionadas con la operación de la empresa.
En mayo de 2025, pobladores de Atoyac, Paso del Macho y Amatlán de los Reyes realizaron movilizaciones y bloqueos carreteros para exigir una solución al problema ambiental. En ese momento se plantearon compromisos para fortalecer los sistemas de tratamiento y reducir los riesgos de nuevas descargas.
Sin embargo, el derrame registrado en julio volvió a generar preocupación entre habitantes y productores, quienes demandan que se determinen responsabilidades y se garantice que las actividades industriales cumplan con las normas ambientales.
Mientras continúan los análisis de las muestras de agua y las revisiones técnicas, organizaciones ambientalistas pidieron a la población mantenerse vigilante y reportar cualquier nueva descarga o afectación mediante evidencia fotográfica o videográfica.

Atoyac, Ver. – La producción nacional de azúcar alcanzó 5 millones 321 mil 967 toneladas en la zafra 2025/2026, un volumen 11.57 por ciento superior al obtenido en el ciclo anterior y que además rebasó en 0.77 por ciento la meta estimada para la temporada.
De acuerdo con el informe semanal InfoZafra de la Unión Nacional de Cañeros (CNPR), con corte al 11 de julio, la molienda acumuló 49 millones 583 mil 391 toneladas de caña, es decir, 3 millones 839 mil 720 toneladas más que en la zafra 2024/2025.
El reporte señala que 36 ingenios molieron más caña, 41 incrementaron su producción de azúcar y 31 mejoraron su rendimiento de fábrica frente al ciclo previo.
Además, se industrializaron 735 mil 231 hectáreas, con un rendimiento promedio de 67.439 toneladas por hectárea, superior en 4.215 toneladas al registrado un año antes.
Entre los ingenios con mejor productividad en campo destacan Atencingo, con 108.108 toneladas por hectárea; Casasano “La Abeja”, con 103.083; Tamazula, con 98.723; Pujiltic, con 96.301; y Emiliano Zapata, con 95.701 toneladas por hectárea.
En la actual zafra participan 47 de los 49 ingenios del país.
Hasta ahora, 43 ya concluyeron operaciones y cuatro continúan en molienda.
Durante la última semana finalizó actividades el Ingenio San Rafael de Pucté, de acuerdo con el informe de la organización cañera.

Autoridades municipales sostuvieron una reunión con representantes de los sectores hotelero y restaurantero para presentar los eventos nacionales que se realizarán durante el próximo mes y coordinar acciones para atender a los visitantes.
Durante el encuentro, el jefe de Deporte, Ricardo Rincón Espinoza, junto con el jefe de Turismo, Carlos Fernández Chávez, así como Manuel Alonso Mendívil y Jorge López Tress, dieron a conocer el calendario de competencias que atraerá a deportistas, entrenadores y familiares de distintas entidades del país.
El programa iniciará del 6 al 9 de agosto con el Campeonato Nacional de Artes Marciales Mixtas, que prevé reunir a alrededor de mil 800 competidores. Posteriormente, del 9 al 15 de agosto, Córdoba será sede del Campeonato Nacional de Beisbol categoría 7-8 años, con la participación de 20 equipos.
Del 12 al 16 de agosto se desarrollará el Nacional de Handball, en el que competirán 46 equipos, divididos en 23 femeniles y 23 varoniles de categorías infantiles.
Ese mismo 16 de agosto se celebrará el Medio Maratón Tratados de Córdoba, cuyas inscripciones continúan abiertas y espera la asistencia de corredores provenientes de diferentes municipios y estados.
La actividad concluirá del 21 al 23 de agosto con el Nacional de Frontenis, cerrando un mes en el que el municipio espera una importante derrama económica para hoteles, restaurantes, comercios y prestadores de servicios, derivada de la llegada de participantes y sus acompañantes.
Con esta agenda, el municipio busca fortalecer su posición como sede de competencias de alcance nacional y aprovechar el deporte como un atractivo para impulsar el turismo y la actividad económica en la región.
