Crueldad e impunidad en el Paseo del Río de Orizaba: la Policía Turística, ausente

Orizaba, Ver.– La imagen de “ciudad turística” que presume Orizaba se ve ensombrecida por un escenario de crueldad y negligencia: el Paseo del Río se ha convertido en un lugar inseguro no solo para los visitantes, sino también para los animales que lo habitan.

La llamada Policía Turística, que debería resguardar la zona, brilla por su ausencia mientras personas sin escrúpulos envenenan de forma deliberada a gatos y perros callejeros. Los restos contaminados quedan a la vista de familias y niños, convirtiendo el problema en una amenaza directa a la salud pública.

El pasado viernes 8 de agosto, dos gatos fueron hallados muertos. Integrantes del colectivo Gatitos del Paseo del Arte calificaron el hecho como “la manera más cruel y sanguinaria que puede existir”. Desde hace años, este grupo alimenta, esteriliza y brinda atención médica a los animales, pero ahora se enfrenta a una ola de ataques impunes.

Aunque el maltrato animal es un delito grave, la respuesta de las autoridades municipales ha sido inexistente. Ni patrullajes, ni investigaciones, ni castigos ejemplares. Solo silencio y omisión.

“Hoy son animalitos, mañana puede ser una persona”, advierten los activistas, quienes exigen aplicar la ley con todo su peso y dejar de tolerar que esta ciudad ignore la vida de los seres vivos que la habitan.

En Orizaba, la indiferencia institucional no solo permite la crueldad… la alimenta.

Córdoba, Ver.— El desfile conmemorativo por el 205 Aniversario de la Defensa de Córdoba iniciará a las 08:00 horas del próximo 21 de mayo, como parte de las medidas implementadas por el Ayuntamiento ante las altas temperaturas registradas en la región centro del estado.

Autoridades municipales confirmaron que el recorrido cívico concluirá alrededor del mediodía y contará con puntos de hidratación para estudiantes, docentes y asistentes, buscando evitar afectaciones por el intenso calor que en los últimos días ha superado sensaciones térmicas de hasta 40 grados.

La decisión fue acordada durante una reunión encabezada por la Coordinación de Bienestar Social y la Jefatura de Educación con representantes de instituciones educativas participantes, donde también se definieron aspectos logísticos y de seguridad para el tradicional desfile.

La coordinadora de Bienestar Social, Dennis Araceli Lira Tosqui, explicó que además de priorizar el bienestar de los asistentes, el horario permitirá que la ciudadanía pueda acudir posteriormente a la EXPOMAR, evento alusivo al Día de la Marina que comenzará la tarde de ese mismo día en las canchas externas de El Mexicano.

El Ayuntamiento también pidió a la ciudadanía evitar el uso de materiales que generen basura o afecten la imagen urbana durante el desfile, promoviendo una jornada ordenada y limpia en el centro de la ciudad.

Como parte de las actividades del mes de mayo, autoridades municipales anunciaron además eventos artísticos por el Día de las Madres y exhibiciones de marching band programadas para los días 9, 17 y 24 de mayo.

Córdoba, Ver.- En medio de la presión por elevar la productividad del campo sin agravar el daño ambiental, ISQUISA y FERTISQUISA fueron reconocidas con un distintivo nacional de Anacofer por el desarrollo de fertilizantes más amigables con el entorno.

El director ejecutivo de ISQUISA, Roberto Escalante Soto, afirmó que el desafío del campo mexicano ya no se limita a producir más, sino a hacerlo con mayor eficiencia y menor impacto.

“Tenemos que producir más y mejor, pero cuidando el medio ambiente. Eso requiere inversión”, señaló.

El directivo advirtió que prácticas tradicionales han provocado pérdidas de nutrientes y afectaciones en suelo y agua.

En el caso del nitrógeno, dijo, hasta el 50% se desperdicia al no ser absorbido por las plantas.

Ante este escenario, la empresa desarrolló tecnología que permite elevar la absorción de nitrógeno hasta niveles de entre 85 y 90%, lo que reduce la cantidad de fertilizante necesario y limita emisiones contaminantes.

Escalante Soto indicó que este tipo de soluciones buscan mejorar la rentabilidad del productor al tiempo que se protege el entorno natural, incluyendo fuentes de agua y biodiversidad.

El distintivo otorgado por Anacofer reconoce a compañías que impulsan prácticas más sostenibles en el sector. Para ISQUISA y FERTISQUISA, el reto —dijo— es claro: aumentar la producción sin deteriorar los recursos del campo.

Refuerzan atención a denuncias por maltrato animal en Córdoba; Fiscalía habilita vía directa

Córdoba, Ver.- Con el objetivo de agilizar la atención a casos de maltrato animal en el municipio, activistas y autoridades sostuvieron un acercamiento que derivó en la apertura de un canal directo ante la Fiscalía Regional para la recepción de denuncias.


El defensor de los animales José Algarín explicó que, anteriormente, muchos casos se canalizaban a través de instancias municipales, lo que en ocasiones hacía más prolongado el proceso.

Sin embargo, destacó que este nuevo mecanismo permitirá una atención más ágil y con mayores posibilidades de seguimiento.


Detalló que recientemente se llevó a cabo una reunión con la Fiscalía Regional, encabezada por su titular Laura Vázquez Alducín, en la que también participaron la exregidora María Luisa Martínez y la rescatista Cecilia, integrante de “Padrinos con Causa”.

En dicho encuentro se acordó facilitar el acceso directo a la instancia estatal.


A partir de ahora, cualquier ciudadano podrá presentar denuncias directamente ante la Fiscalía por casos de maltrato, abandono o muerte de animales, lo que busca fortalecer la atención institucional y la aplicación de la ley.


Algarín señaló que entre las problemáticas más recurrentes se encuentra el envenenamiento de animales, reportado en diversas colonias del municipio, así como el abandono de gatos ferales. Recordó que el Código Penal contempla sanciones para quienes incurran en actos de crueldad.
Asimismo, subrayó la importancia de la atención médica para animales en situación de calle, al mencionar que enfermedades como la leucemia felina y el virus de inmunodeficiencia felina pueden ser controladas con los cuidados adecuados.
Finalmente, hizo un llamado a la ciudadanía a utilizar este nuevo canal de denuncia y a fomentar la participación social, a fin de contribuir a la protección y bienestar animal en Córdoba.
