Feminicidio en Coscomatepec: talabartero asesina a su pareja y se suicida

Coscomatepec, Ver. — Una mujer de 31 años fue asesinada por su pareja sentimental, quien posteriormente se quitó la vida, en un hecho de violencia doméstica registrado la tarde del martes en el barrio de Ixtiuca, en este municipio turístico de la región de las Altas Montañas.

Luz María Reyes Páez, comerciante del centro histórico de este Pueblo Mágico, perdió la vida a manos de Arturo Salvador Marín, alias “El Chuky”, un talabartero de 35 años quien presuntamente padecía problemas de adicciones y ejercía violencia sistemática contra su pareja.

El doble deceso fue reportado a las 17:25 horas en la calle Juan Álvarez, cuando vecinos alertaron al número de emergencias sobre una riña violenta al interior del inmueble. Al arribar, elementos de la Policía Municipal encontraron los cuerpos sin vida de ambos en medio de un escenario de extrema violencia.

Paramédicos de Protección Civil Municipal acudieron al lugar, pero únicamente pudieron confirmar que la pareja había fallecido.

El Ministerio Público de la Fiscalía Regional inició las diligencias correspondientes y ordenó el traslado de los cuerpos al Servicio Médico Forense para la necropsia de ley.

Familiares de la víctima revelaron a las autoridades que “El Chuky” sometía a Luz María a golpizas frecuentes, situación que se agravaba por sus adicciones. A pesar de ello, la mujer no había interpuesto denuncia formal ante las instancias correspondientes.

El caso dejó en orfandad a un menor de edad, hijo de la occisa, quien ahora queda bajo custodia de familiares.

Veracruz, foco rojo en feminicidios

Este feminicidio se suma a las alarmantes cifras de violencia contra las mujeres en Veracruz. De acuerdo con el Secretariado Ejecutivo del Sistema Nacional de Seguridad Pública (SESNSP), hasta septiembre de 2025 el estado reportó 54 feminicidios, ubicándose entre las siete entidades que concentran el 50.5% de este delito en el país.

En el rubro de violencia de género, Veracruz ocupa el segundo lugar nacional con 1,232 casos registrados entre enero y julio de 2025, solo superado por el Estado de México. Además, de enero a septiembre del año en curso se contabilizaron 3,464 llamadas de emergencia por violencia contra las mujeres, colocando a la entidad entre las diez con mayor incidencia.

Hallan feto en bolsas de basura junto al panteón de Huatusco

Huatusco, Ver.— Un feto fue localizado en bolsas de basura en las inmediaciones del panteón municipal de Huatusco, luego de que trabajadores realizaban labores de limpieza en el lugar.

Los empleados encontraron las bolsas, en cuyo interior había rastros de sangre. Al revisarlas, descubrieron los restos y notificaron a las autoridades.

Elementos de la Policía Municipal acudieron al sitio y, tras confirmar el hallazgo, dieron aviso a la Fiscalía.

Personal ministerial y pericial realizó las diligencias correspondientes y recabó indicios para integrar la investigación.

Los restos fueron trasladados para los estudios correspondientes, mientras la Fiscalía inició una carpeta de investigación para esclarecer los hechos.

Vuelca pipa en las Cumbres de Maltrata; persiste carga vehicular

Maltrata, Ver.— La volcadura de una pipa en el kilómetro 227 de la autopista 150D, en el tramo Esperanza-Ciudad Mendoza, provocó afectaciones a la circulación durante la mañana de este jueves.

El accidente ocurrió durante la madrugada, antes de la zona de túneles, con dirección al puerto de Veracruz, donde la unidad quedó sobre el carril de baja velocidad.

Aunque el percance ya fue atendido, Caminos y Puentes Federales (CAPUFE) reportó que la carga vehicular persistía en el sector.

De manera preliminar, se informó que el operador se encontraba en buenas condiciones.

Las causas de la volcadura no habían sido confirmadas oficialmente.

La zona de las Cumbres de Maltrata presenta condiciones que pueden complicar el tránsito, como niebla y pavimento mojado, por lo que se recomienda a los automovilistas reducir la velocidad y mantener una distancia segura entre vehículos.

Identifican a Javier Silvestre, trabajador de CFE que murió en accidente en Córdoba

Córdoba, Ver.- Javier Silvestre, trabajador de la Comisión Federal de Electricidad (CFE), murió luego de que el poste de concreto en el que realizaba maniobras se desplomara en la comunidad de La Lagunilla, en la zona serrana de Córdoba.

El accidente ocurrió el martes 20 de octubre, cuando el empleado, de aproximadamente 40 años, trabajaba en la parte alta de la estructura. Al caer el poste, sufrió lesiones graves en el tórax.

Paramédicos del Centro Regulador de Urgencias Médicas (CRUM) acudieron para auxiliarlo y lo trasladaron al Hospital General de Zona número 8 del Instituto Mexicano del Seguro Social (IMSS), donde falleció pese a recibir atención médica.

Tras confirmarse su muerte, las autoridades ministeriales tomaron conocimiento de los hechos y realizaron las diligencias correspondientes.
