Atoyac, Ver.— El candidato del Partido Revolucionario Institucional (PRI) a la presidencia municipal de Atoyac, Jackson Antonio Álvarez Peña, fijó una postura firme ante los ataques recientes que han buscado empañar su imagen pública: no responderá a provocaciones ni permitirá que la guerra sucia desvíe el rumbo de una campaña enfocada en las verdaderas necesidades del municipio.
Durante un encuentro con medios de comunicación, Álvarez Peña hizo referencia a un hecho ocurrido en 2021, cuando fue detenido de manera irregular sobre el camino conocido como Agüero-Chiquila, en la localidad de Potrero Nuevo.
El entonces joven productor rural se dirigía solo a su campo de trabajo cuando fue interceptado por una camioneta tipo pick-up de color azul cielo, que circulaba a exceso de velocidad y con las luces encendidas.
Al detenerse, un sujeto desconocido descendió del vehículo. Vestía camisa con estampado de tigre, pantalón blanco, botines cafés y llevaba un paraguas de mezclilla. Momentos después, ocurrió su detención.
“No portaba armas, no llevaba explosivos, no cometí delito alguno. Sin embargo, fui privado de mi libertad. Me vincularon con otra persona que ni siquiera iba conmigo. Durante seis meses estuve detenido, y aun así me negué a aceptar un proceso abreviado que me pedía declararme culpable a cambio de mi libertad. No lo acepté porque no tenía nada que esconder”, afirmó.
Tras más de un año de proceso y luego de rechazar las salidas alternas que implicaban aceptar culpabilidad, Álvarez Peña obtuvo una sentencia absolutoria.
“Fui declarado inocente. La justicia me dio la razón. El expediente es claro: no tengo antecedentes, no tengo delitos. Salí por la puerta que corresponde a los hombres que no se rinden ni se doblegan”, expresó.
El candidato del PRI reconoció que ese episodio, lejos de afectarlo, fortaleció su carácter y consolidó el respaldo social que hoy lo impulsa.
“En ese entonces, la gente salió a manifestarse por mí. Bloquearon caminos, exigieron justicia, porque sabían quién soy. Hoy, cuatro años después, esas mismas personas caminan conmigo rumbo a la alcaldía de Atoyac”, señaló.
Sobre los ataques y señalamientos que han resurgido durante la campaña, fue claro: “No tengo odio, no busco confrontar. Mi único compromiso es con la gente. Dios bendiga a quienes insisten en difamar, pero yo seguiré enfocado en mi proyecto: en sacar adelante a Atoyac con propuestas, gestión y trabajo honesto”.
Finalmente, Jackson aseguró que su vida es pública, transparente y que siempre ha caminado de frente.
“Mi historia está en los hechos, en el trato cotidiano con mi gente. La justicia ya habló. Y la ciudadanía también lo hará, este 2 de junio, en las urnas”.

Atoyac, Ver.- Productores cañeros mantienen el bloqueo en las instalaciones del Ingenio El Potrero y continúan vigilando la salida de azúcar para impedir que el producto sea comercializado en el mercado nacional, informó José Luis Gordillo, dirigente de la ULPCA-CNC.
El líder cañero explicó que el movimiento permanece activo mientras esperan indicaciones de la dirigencia nacional, aunque reconoció que recientemente comenzaron a registrarse reportes positivos en torno al comportamiento del precio del azúcar.
“Seguimos con el bloqueo y supervisando que no salga azúcar destinada al mercado nacional; únicamente se está permitiendo la salida de azúcar de exportación”, declaró.
Detalló que personal del denominado Grupo Beta realiza actualmente la entrega de documentación correspondiente a embarques internacionales, relacionados con pedidos de exportación, por lo que esperan concluir ese proceso administrativo en los próximos días.
José Luis Gordillo también agradeció el respaldo de productores, comisarios y jefes de grupo que participan en las guardias instaladas en el ingenio, especialmente durante la etapa final de la zafra.
Indicó además que cuadrillas de cortadores fueron desplazadas hacia diferentes puntos donde aún permanece caña pendiente de cosecha, principalmente en comunidades como Potrero, Potrero Viejo y La Concha.
El dirigente aseguró que todas las unidades que salen del ingenio son inspeccionadas minuciosamente para verificar que únicamente transporten azúcar destinada al mercado internacional.
El conflicto cañero continúa generando expectativa entre productores de la región, quienes permanecen atentos a las decisiones que se tomen a nivel nacional respecto al precio del azúcar y las condiciones de comercialización del producto.

Atoyac, Ver.- Por tercer día consecutivo continúan tomadas las bodegas del ingenio El Potrero por productores cañeros que reclaman el incumplimiento de los industriales en las cuotas de exportación de azúcar.
Durante una reunión realizada en el lugar, el presidente de la Confederación Nacional de Propietarios Rurales (CNPR) del ingenio El Potrero, Ángel Gómez Tapia, señaló que la falta de cumplimiento en las exportaciones hacia Estados Unidos ha provocado un excedente cercano a las 800 mil toneladas de azúcar en el país.
Explicó que el mercado estadounidense representa mejores condiciones para la comercialización del producto; sin embargo, este año las exportaciones no alcanzaron ni las 200 mil toneladas, obligando a enviar grandes volúmenes al mercado mundial, donde el precio es considerablemente menor.
Indicó que mientras el precio de referencia para el pago de caña en México ronda los 17 mil pesos por tonelada, en el mercado internacional apenas supera los 5 mil 500 pesos, afectando directamente la economía de los productores.
Además, afirmó que a esta situación se suman otras 300 mil toneladas de azúcar generadas durante el presente ciclo, agravando aún más la crisis del sector azucarero.
Por su parte, el dirigente de la Unión Local de Productores de Caña de Azúcar (UlPCA-CNC), José Luis Gordillo, reconoció que la industria atraviesa uno de los escenarios más complicados de los últimos años, debido también al incremento en el uso de fructosa y las limitaciones comerciales con Estados Unidos.
Los productores exigieron a los grupos industriales cumplir con los compromisos de exportación pendientes y acelerar la recepción de caña durante la etapa final de la zafra.

Atoyac, Ver.— Productores cañeros del Ingenio El Potrero iniciaron este sábado la toma y control de las bodegas de azúcar como medida de presión contra grupos industriales a quienes acusan de incumplir con las cuotas de exportación correspondientes a la zafra 2025-2026.
La movilización, encabezada por integrantes de la Unión Local de Productores de Caña de Azúcar (ULPCA-CNC) y de la Confederación Nacional de Productores Rurales (CNPR), busca impedir la salida de azúcar al mercado nacional hasta que las empresas acrediten el cumplimiento de los compromisos de exportación establecidos.
Los productores aseguran que la falta de exportaciones ha provocado una saturación del mercado interno, ocasionando una caída considerable en el precio del azúcar y afectando directamente la liquidación final de miles de cañeros de la región.
En el caso del Ingenio El Potrero, las bodegas se encuentran prácticamente al límite de su capacidad, con alrededor de 17 mil toneladas almacenadas, además de otras cantidades resguardadas en distintos puntos de la zona.
José Luis Gordillo Fernández, dirigente local de la ULPCA-CNC, explicó que esta medida ya ha sido aplicada en años anteriores y ha permitido presionar a la industria para regular las exportaciones y estabilizar el mercado.
“El problema es que hay industriales a quienes no les conviene exportar, porque el precio internacional es mucho más bajo que el nacional. Sin embargo, están obligados a cumplir con las cuotas establecidas”, expresó.
El líder cañero advirtió que, de continuar saturadas las bodegas, la operación del ingenio podría verse afectada en los próximos días, poniendo incluso en riesgo el cierre de la zafra.
“Todavía quedan más de 100 mil toneladas de caña por moler, prácticamente dos semanas de trabajo. Lo que buscamos no es detener la fábrica, sino evitar que siga saliendo azúcar hasta que exista garantía de cumplimiento por parte de la industria”, señaló.
La protesta forma parte de una estrategia nacional acordada por las dirigencias cañeras de la CNC y la CNPR, luego de reuniones con representantes del sector azucarero.
Productores también denunciaron el ingreso ilegal de azúcar por la frontera con Guatemala, situación que —aseguran— agrava aún más la sobreoferta y desploma el precio del producto en el país.
Veracruz se mantiene como el principal productor azucarero de México, concentrando 18 de los 51 ingenios activos a nivel nacional. Entre ellos destaca el Ingenio El Potrero, considerado uno de los más importantes de la región centro del estado.
