Registra petróleo la mayor alza desde 2022

Ciudad de México.- Los precios del crudo registraron la semana anterior el mayor avance en tres años, ante los ataques entre Israel e Irán, que generaron temores por el suministro del energético, y por un escalamiento del conflicto.
Así, el WTI cerró la semana en 72.98 dólares por barril, con un incremento semanal del 13 por ciento, mientras que el Brent se situó en 74.56 dólares, acumulando una ganancia de 12.61 por ciento en los últimos siete días, con lo que alcanzaron su mayor nivel desde febrero de este año.
La semana anterior fue la de mayor incremento para el WTI desde octubre de 2022, y para el caso del Brent desde marzo de 2022.
El conflicto en Medio Oriente ha continuado escalando, con la respuesta de Irán en un ataque de cientos de misiles en represalia a Israel contra sus instalaciones militares y nucleares de Teherán, lo que amenaza con extenderse por toda la región.
De acuerdo con Gabriela Siller, directora de análisis económico de Grupo Base, a pesar de la situación compleja en Medio Oriente, los precios del petróleo no superaron los 85 dólares por barril, lo que es un primer signo positivo en medio de la volatilidad.
“No se rompió el nivel de 85 dólares en el precio del crudo, lo cual quiere decir que el mercado está sopesando que probablemente no va a escalar mucho esta guerra, o bien EU pudiera proveer más petróleo y la oferta de petróleo no se vería tan afectada”, dijo Siller a El Financiero Bloomberg.
Para Hammad Husain, economista de materias primas para Capital Economics, la OPEP tendrá un papel relevante estos días sobre el control de los precios ante la volatilidad actual
“La OPEP será el actor clave a tener en cuenta, dado que el grupo cuenta con amplia capacidad disponible para compensar un impacto en el suministro de petróleo y limitar el riesgo alcista de los precios globales si así lo desea”, citó Husain.

De acuerdo con expertos de ATFX, aunque la infraestructura petrolera iraní no fue alcanzada directamente, el movimiento refleja un aumento en el riesgo geopolítico en la región.
“La principal preocupación de los agentes del mercado se centra en posibles represalias por parte de Irán, especialmente debido a su presencia militar cerca del Estrecho de Ormuz — un paso estratégico por donde transita una porción considerable del crudo mundial”.
Por su parte, analistas de Monex detallaron que el país persa aporta cerca del 13.0 por ciento de la producción total de la OPEP y, en caso de que sus instalaciones petroleras sean atacadas, la oferta global podría verse gravemente afectada.
Pese a las tensiones en los mercados financieros por el conflicto en Medio Oriente, el peso logró avanzar en la semana y logró mantenerse por debajo de las 19 unidades.
Los registros del Banco de México (Banxico) reflejaron que el tipo de cambio se ubicó en los 18.9396 pesos por dólar el pasado viernes, lo que representó una apreciación semanal de 0.87 por ciento. Con esto ligó dos semanas con ganancias, en las que acumuló un avance frente al dólar de 2.4 por ciento.
De acuerdo con Felipe Mendoza, analista de mercados financieros y divisas de ATFX Latam, a pesar de la volatilidad reciente, el peso se muestra resiliente, “consolidando su posición como una de las monedas emergentes más fuertes en medio de un entorno internacional cada vez más hostil, lo cual es un aspecto relevante en la coyuntura actual”.
En este contexto, los principales índices accionarios en EU cerraron con caídas semanales a consecuencia de la aversión al riesgo global.
El Nasdaq registró una baja semanal de 0.63 por ciento, a 19 mil 406.83 puntos; por su parte, el S&P 500 bajó 0.39 por ciento, a 5 mil 976.97 enteros, mientras que el Dow Jones finalizó con una caída de 1.32 por ciento, a 42 mil 197.79 unidades.
Las bolsas a nivel local cerraron en números negativos. El índice principal de la Bolsa Mexicana de Valores, el S&P/BMV IPC, finalizó la semana a la baja con el 1.1 por ciento, a 57 mil 438.57 enteros; y para el FTSE-BIVA de la Bolsa Institucional de Valores la caída fue de 1.03 por ciento.

CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- Las tensiones en Medio Oriente y el aumento de tasas en Estados Unidos dejaron huella en el ahorro para el retiro de los trabajadores mexicanos.
En septiembre de 2026, las Afores registraron plusvalías por 15,525 millones de pesos, una caída de 81% frente a las ganancias de agosto, informó la Comisión Nacional del Sistema de Ahorro para el Retiro (Consar).
Un mes de turbulencia financiera
Según el regulador, el desempeño del sistema financiero en septiembre estuvo marcado por factores que elevaron la volatilidad en los mercados. Entre ellos señaló:
- La persistencia de las tensiones geopolíticas en Medio Oriente.
- El incremento de tasas de la Reserva Federal (Fed) de Estados Unidos.
- La volatilidad de las acciones de empresas tecnológicas y de otros segmentos en las bolsas internacionales.
Pese a ese entorno adverso, la Consar subrayó que el Sistema de Ahorro para el Retiro logró cerrar el mes con rendimientos positivos.
Acumulado anual, a la baja
Con el resultado de septiembre, los ahorros acumulan plusvalías por 490,957 millones de pesos entre enero y septiembre de 2026. La cifra es 48% inferior a la del mismo periodo de 2025.
En dos de los primeros nueve meses del año, los recursos de los trabajadores llegaron a registrar minusvalías, principalmente por la volatilidad que ha provocado en los mercados la guerra en Irán a lo largo de 2026.

El organismo alerta que las pláticas bilaterales podrían partir en dos el pacto trilateral y frenar decisiones de inversión
CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- Que Estados Unidos dialogue por separado con México y con Canadá no es un detalle menor para la región. Así lo planteó la Cepal este jueves, al advertir que esa dinámica abre la puerta a que el T-MEC termine convertido en dos acuerdos bilaterales, ya sea por la vía formal o en los hechos.
El señalamiento aparece en Perspectivas del Comercio Internacional, informe en el que el organismo sostiene que la revisión del tratado, iniciada en julio de 2026, seguirá pesando en las decisiones de las empresas sobre dónde invertir y cómo reacomodar sus cadenas de producción.
Un beneficio que no llega a la economía
La Cepal reconoció que el conflicto comercial entre Estados Unidos y China ha favorecido a México, con un efecto positivo en industrias como la automotriz, las autopartes y la electrónica. Pero lamentó que esa ventaja no se ha traducido en un mejor desempeño de la economía nacional.
También señaló que la llegada de plantas y proveedores al país, el llamado nearshoring, es una realidad que responde a las tensiones geopolíticas. Aun así, advirtió que no basta para disipar las dudas sobre el futuro de la relación entre los tres socios.
México, pieza clave del engranaje
Al presentar el documento, José María Salazar Xirinachs, secretario ejecutivo de la Cepal, subrayó el peso de México en la manufactura norteamericana. Explicó que lo que existe va más allá del comercio entre países vecinos: son sistemas productivos integrados, donde la industria estadounidense depende de componentes hechos en territorio mexicano.
Desde el sector privado: acuerdos en paralelo
En días previos, Oscar del Cueto, presidente de AmCham México, adelantó a El Economista que México y Estados Unidos avanzan en convenios bilaterales que operarían junto al T-MEC durante la próxima década. Aclaró que la extensión a 10 años, con revisiones anuales, da certeza jurídica a la inversión, aunque algunos temas tendrán que resolverse solo entre dos países, dado el nuevo escenario geopolítico y económico.

Venta de autos electrificados en México crece 37.5% en septiembre
Los híbridos conectables, impulsados por marcas chinas, lideran el avance con un alza de 222% anual
CIUDAD DE MÉXICO.- La venta de vehículos electrificados en México siguió acelerando en septiembre de 2026. Se comercializaron 16,824 unidades, 37.5% más que las 12,237 del mismo mes de 2025, informó la Asociación Mexicana de la Industria Automotriz (AMIA).
Con datos del Inegi, la AMIA indicó que los híbridos, híbridos conectables y eléctricos ya representan 13% del mercado automotriz total, frente a 9.3% en 2025. Según el reporte, es el mayor avance porcentual que ha registrado la industria en autos verdes.
Híbridos convencionales, los preferidos
Los híbridos convencionales siguen siendo la opción favorita de los compradores. En septiembre se vendieron 11,063 unidades, 20.5% más que un año antes. De enero a septiembre acumulan 99,147 unidades, con un crecimiento de 27.8% anual. Entre los modelos más buscados destaca el Prius de Toyota.
Conectables, el segmento de mayor crecimiento
Los híbridos conectables (PHEV) tuvieron el mayor dinamismo. Vendieron 3,267 unidades en el mes, contra 1,014 de septiembre de 2025, un aumento de 222%. En el acumulado del año suman 25,242 unidades, 223.7% más que en igual periodo de 2025.
El segmento está dominado por marcas chinas como Geely, JAC, Changan y Chirey. También participan marcas de volumen como General Motors, que se sumó con el Captiva.
Eléctricos puros
Los vehículos 100% eléctricos (BEV) vendieron 2,494 unidades en septiembre, 22.2% más que en el mismo mes del año pasado. En los primeros nueve meses acumulan 21,794 unidades, 41.8% más que en 2025.
Concentración geográfica y migración del consumidor
La Ciudad de México encabeza las ventas de electrificados en el acumulado de 2026 con 37,960 unidades, seguida por el Estado de México con 19,255.
Mientras los autos de combustión interna crecieron apenas 1% de enero a septiembre, los electrificados avanzaron 45.1%. La AMIA y la Asociación Mexicana de Distribuidores de Automotores (AMDA) coincidieron en que la transición hacia una movilidad más sustentable gana fuerza en el país.
