Renuevan armamento en la Policía Municipal de Chocamán

Chocamán, Ver.— La Policía Municipal de Chocamán inició un proceso de renovación de su armamento, sustituyendo los antiguos revólveres por pistolas Beretta PX4 Storm, un modelo de uso común en cuerpos policiacos estatales y federales.

El comandante de la corporación, Luis Antonio Catalino, confirmó que la modernización representa un paso necesario para mejorar las condiciones operativas de los elementos.

“El cambio es significativo. A diferencia del armamento que teníamos, este equipo es más eficiente y confiable. Por ahora se realizó el canje de la mitad del parque, pero confiamos en que antes de que concluya la administración podamos completar la renovación total”, señaló en entrevista.

El nuevo armamento, de manufactura italiana, ofrece mayor precisión, capacidad de fuego y manejo ergonómico, aspectos fundamentales para la labor policial en contextos de riesgo.

La medida responde a una necesidad operativa que, según Catalino, había sido postergada durante años.

Actualmente, la corporación cuenta con 25 elementos activos, organizados en áreas de proximidad, prevención y operativos.

Durante esta temporada vacacional, los policías trabajan en coordinación con fuerzas estatales, federales y grupos de rescate para cubrir los principales puntos de afluencia del municipio.

“En Semana Santa lo que más atendemos son incidentes en carretera, auxilios mecánicos, acompañamiento en eventos religiosos y vigilancia en centros recreativos”, detalló el mando policiaco.

Además, se instalaron módulos de atención sobre carretera, y se distribuye información con números de emergencia entre comerciantes y ciudadanos, como parte de una estrategia preventiva para reducir riesgos.

A pesar del avance en equipamiento, el comandante reconoció que aún existen otras carencias en materia de recursos y logística. Sin embargo, confía en que se puedan gestionar más apoyos antes del cierre de la actual administración.

“Además del armamento, hay otros recursos que esperamos que puedan llegar. Son herramientas que no sólo mejoran la capacidad operativa, sino también la seguridad de los propios elementos”, apuntó.

La renovación del armamento en Chocamán se enmarca en un contexto estatal donde diversas corporaciones municipales enfrentan rezagos materiales y humanos. En ese sentido, el caso de Chocamán representa un esfuerzo por revertir esa tendencia, al menos de forma parcial.

Cuichapa, Ver.– Entre el aroma del copal encendido, el colorido de las flores y el murmullo constante del agua que brota de la tierra, el alcalde Fernando Hernández Martínez encabezó por primera vez la realización del ritual del Xochitlalli en el nacimiento de Siete Aguas, en el marco de la tradición del Primer Viernes de Marzo, una de las celebraciones espirituales más arraigadas en la región central de Veracruz.

La ceremonia reunió a regidores, funcionarios municipales y autoridades invitadas, entre ellas el alcalde de Omealca, Dionicio Herrera Torres, así como a pobladores de distintas comunidades que acudieron al sitio natural para presenciar y participar en este acto ancestral dedicado a la Madre Tierra.

Desde temprana hora, familias enteras comenzaron a llegar al manantial cargando ofrendas de flores, frutas, veladoras, pan, semillas y bebidas tradicionales, elementos que forman parte del ritual con el que se agradece a la tierra por los frutos recibidos y se pide abundancia, salud y buenas cosechas para el ciclo que inicia.

Rodeado por la vegetación y la humedad propia del nacimiento de agua, se instaló un altar sobre petates y hojas, donde fueron colocadas las ofrendas mientras el copal ardía lentamente, liberando su humo blanco que, de acuerdo con la tradición, simboliza la purificación del espacio y la conexión espiritual con la naturaleza.

El Xochitlalli, palabra de origen náhuatl que significa “ofrenda a la tierra”, es una práctica heredada de los pueblos originarios que aún se conserva en diversas comunidades del centro del estado. Durante el ritual se agradece por la vida, la lluvia, las cosechas y los recursos naturales, al tiempo que se pide protección para los pueblos.

En esta ocasión, la ceremonia tuvo un significado especial para los habitantes de Cuichapa, ya que por primera vez se llevó a cabo en el nacimiento de Siete Aguas, un sitio natural considerado emblemático dentro del municipio por la presencia de manantiales que abastecen a la región y forman parte de su riqueza ambiental.

Durante el acto, el alcalde Fernando Hernández Martínez destacó la importancia de rescatar y preservar las tradiciones que forman parte de la identidad cultural de las comunidades, al tiempo que reconoció el valor espiritual y ecológico de espacios naturales como Siete Aguas.

La ceremonia transcurrió en un ambiente de respeto y solemnidad. Entre flores, humo de copal y el sonido del agua fluyendo entre las piedras, familias completas presenciaron el ritual, marcando un momento significativo para el municipio al integrar esta práctica ancestral en uno de sus espacios naturales más representativos.

Así, el primer Xochitlalli celebrado en el nacimiento de Siete Aguas quedó registrado como un acto simbólico de agradecimiento a la tierra y como un esfuerzo por mantener vivas las tradiciones que dan identidad a los pueblos de la región.

Omealca, Ver.– Con la finalidad de integrar las propuestas ciudadanas al plan de trabajo de la administración 2026-2029, el Ayuntamiento llevó a cabo el Primer Foro Temático de Consulta Ciudadana enfocado en Infraestructura y Servicios Municipales.

El alcalde Dionicio Herrera Torres encabezó el encuentro, acompañado por el cuerpo de ediles y los titulares de las direcciones de Obras Públicas, Alumbrado Público, Agua Potable y Limpia Pública, quienes escucharon de manera directa las inquietudes y planteamientos de la población.

Durante la jornada, habitantes expusieron necesidades relacionadas con rehabilitación de caminos y calles, ampliación de redes de agua potable, mejora en el alumbrado público y fortalecimiento del servicio de recolección de residuos.

Autoridades municipales señalaron que este ejercicio permitirá alinear las acciones del gobierno con las prioridades reales de la ciudadanía, incorporando las propuestas al Plan Municipal de Desarrollo para el periodo 2026-2029.

El edil destacó que este tipo de foros buscan consolidar un gobierno cercano, que escuche y atienda las demandas de las comunidades, particularmente en temas de infraestructura y servicios básicos.

Atoyac, Ver.– Proyectos de rehabilitación y construcción de caminos en la parte alta del municipio fueron anunciados por el alcalde Juan Carlos Rojas Castro, quien informó que varias de estas obras podrían iniciar este mismo año.

Durante un foro de consulta ciudadana realizado en la comunidad de Progreso, el edil detalló que entre las acciones contempladas se encuentra el camino hacia El Manantial, así como el tramo que conecta Progreso con Tenejapa y que comunica con Tepatlaxco, considerados estratégicos para la movilidad en la zona serrana.

Asimismo, dio a conocer que continúa la gestión ante el Gobierno Federal para concretar el proyecto carretero en el tramo Guadalupe–Manzanillo, obra que, de concretarse, beneficiaría no solo a habitantes de Atoyac, sino también a pobladores de municipios vecinos como Amatlán y Tepatlaxco.

De acuerdo con autoridades municipales, en la parte alta del municipio habitan alrededor de cinco mil personas que utilizan diariamente estas vías para trasladarse a sus centros de trabajo, escuelas y actividades comerciales.

Rojas Castro señaló que las principales demandas ciudadanas se concentran en caminos dignos y mejores servicios básicos, por lo que la administración municipal dará prioridad a la infraestructura carretera como eje de desarrollo para las comunidades de la sierra.

Indicó que los proyectos ya se encuentran considerados dentro del plan de obra municipal y que se trabajará en los procesos técnicos y administrativos necesarios para su ejecución.
