“Siempre Armando…”: homenaje coral al genio romántico de Armando Manzanero

Xalapa, Ver. – La Fundación UV y la Dirección General de Difusión Cultural invitan al público a disfrutar de una velada musical profundamente emotiva con Siempre Armando…, un concierto que celebra la vida y obra del inolvidable compositor mexicano Armando Manzanero, figura emblemática del bolero romántico en Latinoamérica.

Interpretado por el Coro de la Universidad Veracruzana, en el marco de su 75.º aniversario, y acompañado del reconocido grupo artístico Orbis Tertius, que conmemora 50 años de trayectoria, este homenaje coral recorrerá catorce de las canciones más entrañables de Manzanero —entre ellas Contigo aprendí, Adoro, No sé tú y Somos novios—, con arreglos corales especialmente creados para esta ocasión única.

Siempre Armando… ofrece una experiencia sonora donde la calidez del bolero se funde con la riqueza polifónica del canto coral, brindando al público nuevas formas de sentir y revivir el legado de un artista que marcó generaciones con su sensibilidad y talento.

La cita es el domingo 22 de junio de 2025 a las 13:00 h, en la Sala Anexo del Centro Cultural Tlaqná, en Xalapa, Veracruz. Un evento que, más allá de rendir tributo a Manzanero, celebra también la profunda conexión cultural entre Veracruz y Yucatán, dos tierras hermanadas por la música y la memoria.

Entrada solo para mayores de 8 años.

Acceso a la sala: 45 minutos antes del evento.

Una vez iniciado el concierto, nos reservamos el derecho de admisión.

No se aceptan cambios ni cancelaciones una vez emitido el billete.

Coscomatepec vive tres días de tradición con el festival “Máscaras Danzantes”

Coscomatepec, Ver. – El pueblo mágico de Coscomatepec se convirtió este fin de semana en el epicentro nacional de la tradición mascarera con la celebración del festival “Máscaras Danzantes”, que reunió a artistas, maestros cartoneros, productores artesanales y delegaciones internacionales en un extenso programa cultural del 14 al 16 de noviembre.

El encuentro abrió el viernes 14 con la inauguración del ciclo de conferencias “Máscaras, Herencia y Tradición de México”, realizado en el Teatro Municipal Benito Juárez. Más tarde, autoridades municipales pusieron en marcha el Pabellón Nacional de Productores y Maestros Artesanos y Gastronómicos, seguido por la apertura del Quinto Encuentro Nacional de Cartoneros de México y del Pabellón Nacional de Artistas de la Máscara.

Durante la tarde, el Foro Nacional de la Máscara concentró muestras, charlas y presentaciones de grupos participantes, mientras que hacia las 5:00 p.m. dio inicio la tradicional Calenda, que recorrió las calles del Centro Histórico.

El sábado 15 las actividades continuaron desde temprano con clases magistrales de artistas de la máscara y talleres del Carnaval de Colombia, país invitado al festival.

De forma paralela siguieron las conferencias sobre la herencia mascarera y los talleres del Encuentro Nacional de Cartoneros.


Entre las 12:00 y las 16:30 horas, el Foro Nacional de la Máscara presentó exhibiciones continuas, seguidas por una nueva Calenda, que reunió a visitantes y habitantes en un ambiente festivo.


Al anochecer se realizó la Presentación de Maestros Mascareros y entrega de reconocimientos, previo a otra jornada de actividades en el Foro Nacional.

El domingo 16, último día del festival, se retomaron las sesiones formativas con artistas y artesanos, además del ciclo académico sobre máscaras mexicanas. Desde el mediodía y hasta las 7:00 p.m., el Foro Nacional de la Máscara concentró la mayor parte del programa cultural.
Uno de los momentos más esperados fue el mensaje de Patricia Casiano, Diosa Centeotl 2025, quien encabezó la entrega de reconocimientos a mascareros internacionales.

La jornada concluyó con la tercera Calenda en el Centro Histórico y, posteriormente, con la clausura oficial y la rifa dentro del Foro Nacional.
Como cierre estelar, el festival ofreció un concierto de Aleks Syntek y Súper Lamas, que reunió a cientos de asistentes.

Con tres días de actividades continuas, Coscomatepec reforzó su identidad como uno de los municipios con mayor tradición en el arte de la máscara, al tiempo que consolidó un festival que ya figura entre los más importantes del país en su categoría.

El Gusano del Jonote: Tradición y Sabor en Cada Bocado

Córdoba, Ver.- En las altas montañas de la región, durante los meses de julio y agosto, emerge una tradición culinaria que conecta a sus habitantes con la naturaleza y sus raíces ancestrales: el consumo del gusano del jonote.

Este platillo, valorado desde tiempos prehispánicos, se obtiene de la larva que nace con las lluvias de verano en los árboles de jonote, cuyo nombre proviene del náhuatl xónoth o jonot.

El gusano del jonote, conocido científicamente como Aegiale spenáris o gusano blanco del maguey, es apreciado no solo por su sabor sino también por su alto valor nutritivo, siendo una fuente importante de proteínas para las comunidades que lo consumen.

Tradicionalmente, se prepara de diversas formas: capeado con huevo, relleno de queso de hebra, en salsa de cerdo o simplemente frito con sal y limón. Su sabor crujiente y único ha conquistado tanto a quienes lo disfrutan desde la niñez como a los curiosos que se animan a probarlo por primera vez.

Especialistas como el profesor Esteban Escamilla Prado, de la Universidad Autónoma de Chapingo, destacan que, además de su aporte alimenticio, las excretas de estas larvas contribuyen al crecimiento de cultivos como el café, demostrando la armonía entre la región y su ecosistema.

En las comunidades de estas montañas, se practica el protocultivo, trasladando cuidadosamente las larvas de árboles distantes a otros cercanos a las viviendas para asegurar su desarrollo y consumo.

Además, el gusano del jonote está rodeado de relatos y creencias que reflejan la cosmovisión indígena y la estrecha relación de sus habitantes con la tierra que los sustenta.

Así, este pequeño manjar se convierte en un símbolo vivo de la identidad regional, que se celebra y preserva con orgullo y respeto, honrando la riqueza cultural y natural de las altas montañas.

Córdoba, Ver. – Como parte de las celebraciones por el centenario del natalicio del dramaturgo cordobés Emilio Carballido, la A.C. Las Estaciones Mi Barrio organiza un evento especial titulado “Barrio ‘Las Estaciones’: personajes que han dejado huella”, del 27 al 29 de junio en Volomía, ubicado en Avenida 11 número 2102, en Córdoba, Veracruz.

Durante tres días, vecinas, vecinos y visitantes podrán disfrutar de actividades culturales que reconocen no solo la vida y obra de Carballido, sino también de otros personajes emblemáticos del tradicional barrio de Las Estaciones.

Una mirada a la memoria del barrio

Este evento busca rendir homenaje a las figuras locales que han dejado huella en la historia social, cultural y artística del barrio de Las Estaciones, un punto clave en el desarrollo de la identidad cordobesa. Con acceso gratuito, la actividad también busca fomentar el sentido de pertenencia y memoria colectiva entre generaciones.

La invitación está abierta al público en general. La cita es a las 5 de la tarde en las instalaciones de Volomía, donde además se espera una participación activa de la comunidad en este espacio de encuentro, arte y reflexión.
