Garantizan el suministro de agua

Chocamán, Ver. – La escasez de agua en Chocamán, que se ha agudizado desde febrero, ha obligado al gobierno municipal a reforzar la distribución mediante pipas.
Sin embargo, la baja recaudación por el servicio representa un obstáculo para mejorar la infraestructura y garantizar el abastecimiento, advirtió el alcalde Ernesto Ruiz González.
El municipio cuenta con seis mil tomas registradas, pero solo mil 800 usuarios han realizado su pago este año, lo que ha generado un ingreso de 600 mil pesos. Ante esta situación, el edil llamó a la ciudadanía a cumplir con su contribución, ya que estos recursos son fundamentales para mantener operativas las pipas y mejorar las redes de distribución.
Actualmente, cinco camiones cisterna llevan agua a colonias como El Xúchil, La Cardenista, Analco, Antorchista, Calaquico, 3 de Mayo, La Cuchilla y La Ermita, beneficiando a cerca de ocho mil habitantes.
Sin embargo, el costo de operar este sistema es elevado. El agua se obtiene de un pozo particular en Fortín, donde cada carga cuesta 350 pesos más IVA, sin contar los gastos de diésel y la renta de los vehículos.
Durante 2023, el municipio destinó 700 mil pesos en este servicio, cifra que podría aumentar este año debido a la sequía.
El gobierno municipal ha trabajado en la modernización de las redes hidráulicas, muchas de las cuales tienen décadas de antigüedad.
No obstante, la inversión es limitada y las mejoras se han realizado de forma gradual junto con obras de rehabilitación vial.
También se han detectado tomas irregulares en zonas agrícolas de Xonozintla, lo que afecta el abasto para más de 12 mil habitantes de la cabecera municipal.
Por ello, el ayuntamiento ha iniciado procesos legales para clausurarlas y regularizar el uso del recurso.
Mientras algunas colonias reciben el servicio cada cuatro días, otras deben esperar hasta una semana.
El alcalde reiteró que el pago del servicio es crucial para mejorar la infraestructura y anunció que en los próximos días se dará a conocer un proyecto para atender la crisis hídrica en Chocamán.

Atoyac, Ver.- Por tercer día consecutivo continúan tomadas las bodegas del ingenio El Potrero por productores cañeros que reclaman el incumplimiento de los industriales en las cuotas de exportación de azúcar.
Durante una reunión realizada en el lugar, el presidente de la Confederación Nacional de Propietarios Rurales (CNPR) del ingenio El Potrero, Ángel Gómez Tapia, señaló que la falta de cumplimiento en las exportaciones hacia Estados Unidos ha provocado un excedente cercano a las 800 mil toneladas de azúcar en el país.
Explicó que el mercado estadounidense representa mejores condiciones para la comercialización del producto; sin embargo, este año las exportaciones no alcanzaron ni las 200 mil toneladas, obligando a enviar grandes volúmenes al mercado mundial, donde el precio es considerablemente menor.
Indicó que mientras el precio de referencia para el pago de caña en México ronda los 17 mil pesos por tonelada, en el mercado internacional apenas supera los 5 mil 500 pesos, afectando directamente la economía de los productores.
Además, afirmó que a esta situación se suman otras 300 mil toneladas de azúcar generadas durante el presente ciclo, agravando aún más la crisis del sector azucarero.
Por su parte, el dirigente de la Unión Local de Productores de Caña de Azúcar (UlPCA-CNC), José Luis Gordillo, reconoció que la industria atraviesa uno de los escenarios más complicados de los últimos años, debido también al incremento en el uso de fructosa y las limitaciones comerciales con Estados Unidos.
Los productores exigieron a los grupos industriales cumplir con los compromisos de exportación pendientes y acelerar la recepción de caña durante la etapa final de la zafra.

Atoyac, Ver.— Productores cañeros del Ingenio El Potrero iniciaron este sábado la toma y control de las bodegas de azúcar como medida de presión contra grupos industriales a quienes acusan de incumplir con las cuotas de exportación correspondientes a la zafra 2025-2026.
La movilización, encabezada por integrantes de la Unión Local de Productores de Caña de Azúcar (ULPCA-CNC) y de la Confederación Nacional de Productores Rurales (CNPR), busca impedir la salida de azúcar al mercado nacional hasta que las empresas acrediten el cumplimiento de los compromisos de exportación establecidos.
Los productores aseguran que la falta de exportaciones ha provocado una saturación del mercado interno, ocasionando una caída considerable en el precio del azúcar y afectando directamente la liquidación final de miles de cañeros de la región.
En el caso del Ingenio El Potrero, las bodegas se encuentran prácticamente al límite de su capacidad, con alrededor de 17 mil toneladas almacenadas, además de otras cantidades resguardadas en distintos puntos de la zona.
José Luis Gordillo Fernández, dirigente local de la ULPCA-CNC, explicó que esta medida ya ha sido aplicada en años anteriores y ha permitido presionar a la industria para regular las exportaciones y estabilizar el mercado.
“El problema es que hay industriales a quienes no les conviene exportar, porque el precio internacional es mucho más bajo que el nacional. Sin embargo, están obligados a cumplir con las cuotas establecidas”, expresó.
El líder cañero advirtió que, de continuar saturadas las bodegas, la operación del ingenio podría verse afectada en los próximos días, poniendo incluso en riesgo el cierre de la zafra.
“Todavía quedan más de 100 mil toneladas de caña por moler, prácticamente dos semanas de trabajo. Lo que buscamos no es detener la fábrica, sino evitar que siga saliendo azúcar hasta que exista garantía de cumplimiento por parte de la industria”, señaló.
La protesta forma parte de una estrategia nacional acordada por las dirigencias cañeras de la CNC y la CNPR, luego de reuniones con representantes del sector azucarero.
Productores también denunciaron el ingreso ilegal de azúcar por la frontera con Guatemala, situación que —aseguran— agrava aún más la sobreoferta y desploma el precio del producto en el país.
Veracruz se mantiene como el principal productor azucarero de México, concentrando 18 de los 51 ingenios activos a nivel nacional. Entre ellos destaca el Ingenio El Potrero, considerado uno de los más importantes de la región centro del estado.

Amatlán de los Reyes, Ver.— Trabajadores de la Productora de Alimentos Nutritivos del Valle de Orizaba (PANVO), conocida en la región como “La Galletera”, mantienen labores en brazos caídos dentro de la planta ubicada en Paraje Nuevo, en protesta por el monto anunciado para el reparto de utilidades correspondiente a este año.
Aunque la producción no se encuentra completamente detenida, empleados redujeron actividades y realizaron asambleas al interior de la empresa luego de que la administración informara que el pago sería de aproximadamente 500 pesos por trabajador, cifra considerablemente menor a la entregada en años anteriores.
La inconformidad creció entre la base laboral debido a que, según señalaron, en ejercicios pasados algunos empleados llegaron a recibir hasta cinco mil pesos por concepto de utilidades, por lo que consideran injustificada la reducción.
Como parte de la explicación ofrecida al personal, representantes de la compañía habrían mostrado documentación financiera donde se establece que existe alrededor de medio millón de pesos para repartir, recurso que además tendría que dividirse entre dos empresas.
Hasta este jueves, las actividades continúan de manera parcial mientras trabajadores analizan las acciones a seguir en busca de una negociación con directivos de la planta dedicada a la producción de galletas en la zona centro del estado.
